The better you understand your tools, the greater your project will turn. But, great projects aren’t just made from sharp chisels and greased gears, one of the greatest tools any designer and fabricator has in their arsenal is planning. Over the years I’ve taken on any many projects with a wide range of scopes and through each of them careful planning and revisioning have always been one of the most important steps of the process.

Digital design using CAD based software’s is nearly always a large portion of my design process. Whether its a 2d floor for an apartment layout or a complex object in an assembly that requires tight tolerances for mass manufacturing, designing in CAD allows me to minimize waste and work efficiently. Through this I am also able to give clients a glimpse of what they’re ordering before the first dollar is spent on materials or tools.
